Everyone remembers the first or previous Café Eklektika as their own little retro-hideaway. A smoky little place where you loved sitting in the boxes talking with friends, eating good food. When it got warmer and the huge shop windows could be open, often you could sip your morning coffee while listening to the music trickling in from the music conservatory across the street. We've been a filmclub, a dance school, an art gallery, a place for modern dance shows, a disco, a jazz bar, a restaurant, many things. But all through this we were just a comfy armchair, a big window, a yellow-red nest, with beautiful arches and a column in the middle. We had to prove that we have a place in the big Budapest night, hopefully we've succeeded in the last seven years.
